The blogger with LuxAsia’s Kimberly Ching, make up by Guerlain
Mothers’ Day weekend was made more special at the Chimes Specialty Store, as LuxAsia offered beauty workshops and flash makeovers for all the ladies courtesy of Guerlain and Yves St Laurent (YSL). From May 8 – 10, mothers and other ladies were given valuable make up tips and demos by the lovely make up artists of Chimes, as they showed what make up are best for different occasions, and for different complexions and skin types. They also offered helpful tips on make up application.

I recently went somewhere in the Marilog District for a work-related event. And I was mesmerized once again by the beauty of the flowers that are bred and sold there. You’d think these flowers can only be bought from abroad, Baguio, or Tagaytay. But locals, in fact, breed and sell them for very low, low prices.

You are looking at the picture of the best sisig in Davao City. It is served by the Sagay Ilonggo Restaurant of Casa Leticia. Sagay serves authentic and delicious Ilonggo dishes. I know Sisig didn’t originate from Iloilo, but believe me when I say this Ilonggo restaurant serves the best sisig in the city. Well, don’t just believe me, try it! Another must-try Sagay specialty is their Crispy Tadyang. It really is crispy and very flavorful.
I’ve been going around the city with my laptop, availing of free WiFi Access so I can constantly stalk people via Friendster. Kidding! Here’s my top three picks (in no particular order) for best free WiFi access in Davao City:
Kasagingan
located along F. Torres Street, Davao City
Kasagingan gets my vote because not only is the WiFi access free, but the electricity usage is free as well. Their internet access is fast, their chairs are comfortable, and the food and drinks are great and very much affordable. Plus, the service is very commendable. The crew are very helpful and accommodating.

Looking for a new dining experience? Why not try out the Felcris Group’s new import… the Tong Yang Shabu-Shabu Restaurant. For those who are not familiar with shabu-shabu, it is a dining style in which the diner cooks his own food. It is popular in oriental countries such as Japan and Korea. But you don’t have to go far to experience this unique concept.
