Last Sunday, I was at the Metro Card Club Davao to witness the first Poker Face Monthly Tournament. My friend, was one of those who won the satellite tournaments and was able to get a seat for last Sunday’s tournament. It was a looong tournament of 50 players. After three rounds, only 7 had been eliminated, including my friend.
I went back to Cafe Andessa. But this time, we were hosted by Sue Ann Orig as part of the Davao Food Trip.
The Davao Food Trippers ordered Ceasar’s Salad, Spicy Chicken Wings, Laing, Callos, Crispy Fried Buntot ng Tuna, Rosemary Grilled Chops, and Chicken Lollipop. Among these, the Chicken Wings and the Chops were the big hits. I also loved the Callos, while Blogie finished off most of the Buntot ng Tuna. All of their food were home-cooked, and didn’t scrimp on the ingredients.

If it’s comfort food you want, then here’s one place you HAVE to try Cecil’s Davao. Cecil’s is primarily a bakery, but they also serve good lug lug, spaghetti, mami, lumpia, and dinuguan, among others.
