Thousands of young Filipinos will converge today in 10 sites throughout the Philippines to join the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build 2015.
Today’s build is the fifth iteration of the Habitat for Humanity Youth Build pioneered by Habitat Philippines’ Youth Council. This year’s build will be simultaneously held across fifteen countries all over Asia-Pacific. In the Philippines, the main site will be in Mindoro, with youth builds happening in Bohol, Cagayaran de Oro, Cebu, General Santos, Navotas, Quezon City, and Davao.
The Habitat Youth Build aims to increase awareness, raise funds, mobilize volunteers, and gather supporters to build homes and give hope to some of over 4 million Filipino families who do not have access to decent shelter. The Habitat Youth Build gives youth volunteers and supporters the opportunity to be catalysts for poverty alleviation.
Young and old, everyone is invited to join the Habitat Youth Build 2015. For more information, visit http://www.habitat.com.ph. Or join the conversation using hashtags #HabitatYB and #HabitatYBPhils with following social media accounts:
