I am not a beach person, but if I were to visit one beach over and over again, it would be Dahican in Mati, Davao Oriental. The reason why I’m in love with Dahican is the gorgeous yet relatively deserted beach coupled with the very modern amenities of Kanakbai Resort.

Kanakbai Resort has two houses that you can rent and own for an entire night. Each house has two rooms that can comfortably fit 2 – 6 persons. Each room has a nice and clean washroom. The bed rooms are airconditioned. It has two queen sized beds and an extra mattress. Kanakbai provides towels and basic toiletries for their guests.
Each house also has a living room area with comfortable couches and a television set. Each house also has a fully equipped kitchen with a double burner, a refrigerator, a water heater, a microwave oven, a toaster, and all the utensils, plates, serving platters, cookware, and kitchen tools you need. And yes, a hot and cold water dispenser. I love the kitchen, obviously. An outdoor grill may also be used.

Outside the houses are hammocks and a nice common outdoor area where you can chill, have a bonfire, or walk to the beach.
