I have been hearing a lot of positive things (mostly from Blogie) about Aseya Bistro Orientale even before we visited them for our Davao Bloggers’ Food Trip. Last Saturday night, our happy band of food-loving bloggers, went to Aseya to sample their Asian fusion dishes.

Our dinner was off to a good start when we were served with their unique Aseya Salad with Hoisin and Peanut Dressing (PhP90). The crunchy fresh vegetables went well with the crunchy kropok chips, and the thick dressing that had liberal amounts of sesame seeds. Gwing and I were eating the salad throughout the entire meal.

The Davao Bloggers’ Food Trip continued today with our sojourn at Pepper and Peppers. And it was a most pleasant experience. Everyone in attendance, me, Kuya Andrew, Winston, and Blogie, were eager to try out their famous Iberian Chicken. But we got much, much more than that.

After a very satisfied customer commented in my blog and Winston’s blog, we decided to try out Tata Benito’s A Whole Latte Love . Upon entering the establishment, the owner immediately informed us that their WiFi service was down. But we weren’t deterred from trying out the place.

On February 14, 2008, Caffe Vivere will be offering a sumptuous home-cooked four-course meal for couples. The meal, which will consist of an appetizer, a soup, a main dish, and dessert, will be served with wine. Last Saturday, January 12, 2008, storytellers converged at the Gaisano Mall Spazio for the first TaleCraft Story-Creation Contest. TaleCraft creator Ria Lu was on hand to introduce the card game to interested participants and passers-by. Also present to facilitate the event were her sisters Marie and Maita. Gwing and Ria were also there as volunteers.
