Davao Blogger Jenny Hernandez has taken the lead in forming a Film Lovers Group now known as Pelikula Dabaw.

The aim of the group is to have a weekly free showing of films not usually shown in Davao City. And to celebrate the month of Philippine Independence, the group will view a slew of award-winning and critically-acclaimed Filipino movies.

The repertoire this Saturday is as follows:

• Tinimbang ka Ngunit Kulang (Lino Brocka, 1974)
• Sister Stella L (Mike de Leon, 1984)
• Todo Todo Teros (John Torres)
• Ang Huling Balyan ng Buhi (Sherad Anthony Sanchez, 2007)
