Philippine Eagle Center Open House on Saturday
In celebration of the annual Philippine Eagle Week on June 4-10, the Philippine Eagle Center will be an Open House whole day Saturday, June 2, 2007 . No entrance fees to get into the Center and enjoy the beauty of the Philippine Eagle and other Philippine wildlife!
Along with the influx of Korean nationals in the city, came the influx of Korean establishments. Among the many Korean restaurants in town, one truly stands out, Twosome Palace.
Last October, the Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism (PCIJ) and the Kapisanan ng mga Broadkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) held a training for Mindanao journalists. One outcome of that training is a series of short podcasts on different impressions of Davao City. The series, entitled Impressions of Davao: A Special Podcast, is posted at the PCIJ blog. The topics of the podcasts include the smoking policy in the city, the local music scene, the Philippine Eagle, the durian and the Crocodile Park.
