Detailed Information

We have a new favorite. Kozara Yakitori, as the name suggests, specializes in yakitori.

What is Yakitori?

Yakitori are bite-sized grilled chicken skewers made from different parts of the chicken. These are usually grilled over charcoal and made to order. And often served with beer and alcoholic drinks.

Kozara Yakitori in Juna Subdivision is a small quiet spot which has the vibes of a Japanese pub.

Our Kozara Favorites

Kozara’s Menu is mostly Yakitori with some grilled beef and seafood. Plus, soups, salads, and more. Our favorites are the yakitori, of course.

Our top recommendation is Negima, which is chicken thigh with leeks. The thigh meat is juicy and tasty. And the charred leeks are a great contrast in texture and flavor.

And if you like fatty chicken butt, order the Toro Kawa. It is unctuous and juicy in the best possible way. The char of the grill is a great flavor to fatty meat. It goes great with beer or whiskey. For sure.

For those who like chicken entrails, Reba (liver) has a good smokey taste. A good match with beer, as well.

Not Just Chicken

Finally, for veggies, order Shitake. This is a great treat for mushroom lovers. The smokey taste, the meaty texture… we love everything about it.

And if you are not keen on having beer or whiskey, order Barley Tea. We prefer it iced, but you may also have it hot.

Must-Try Dessert

We also tried their popular Ginanggang Split.

Ginanggang Split

Luscious vanilla ice cream topped with a stick of impeccably grilled bananas smothered with butter and sugar. Nostalgic.

Not in the mood for ice cream, the Ginanggang alone is great sweet treat to end a meal at Kozara.

We will definitely be back in Kozara to try more of their menu. And maybe a glass of highball.
