Ngilngig Film Fest 2025 Highlights
This year’s Opening Film is “Money Slapper” by Bor Ocampo.

It stars John Lloyd Cruz as Daniel whowins the biggest cash prize in the history of Philippine lottery. This will be screened on October 25, 2025, Saturday 7 pm at the Cinematheque Centre Davao.
On Day 2, Ngilngig Film Fest 2025 will host a talk in partnership with the FDCP. The talk is on “Reclaiming the Liminal” by Filmd Academic Edward delos Santos Cabagnot.
Day 3 will end with a talk on Sound Alchemy by Alllan Blberona aka Mantiw. This will be held at The Grenhouse Cinema on Aoctober 27 from 9 pm to 11 pm.
On Day 4, Atty Karen Santiago-Malaki will talk on the Salient Points of the Eddie Garcia Act. The talk will be on October 28, Tuesday, 1:30 pm – 3 pm at the Cinematheque. This is in partnership with the FDCP.
Finally, on Day 5, the Feature Film “I, The Song” by Dechen Roder (Bhutan) will be screened at the Cinematheque at 7 pm.
And the Ngilngig Awards Night will be held at Three Yards from 9 pm to 11 pm.
